Once or twice a week Suren calls home to Mongolia. Nomio always is very happy when talking to her Mommy. Can you imagine letting your 2 year old daughter go half way around the world without you....for six weeks....for open heart surgery? I can't. All the people in the two Mongolian groups have sacrificed a lot so that these sweet girls could be healed. Suren has a husband and a nine year old son at home. Nomio is without her mommy. Anka's Aunt Tiggy traveled with her because Anka's mother is expecting a baby at the end of a month and left her own 2 year old daughter behind. Dulmaa has a 2 year old son in Mongolia and a 16 year old son who has been in Oregon as an exchange student since August and won't be home until June. Lots of sacrifices.
